INSTALL INFO:
Initial Setup:
- Ensure that the preload adjuster screw is fully backed out, leaving it flush with the cap (no preload applied).
Spring Compression:
- Set the circlip on the preload adjuster so that there is approximately 1/4" to 1/2" of compression on the spring as you begin threading the cap into place.
Preload Adjustment:
- Once the assembly is complete, adjust the preload screw in the cap so that the static preload accounts for about 1/3 to 1/4 of your total travel.
